- ➤ Amazon announced that it will close its Amazon Fresh & Amazon Go stores nationwide, including its only Ventura County location at Moorpark's 742 Los Angeles Ave. The company may later convert some Fresh locations into Whole Foods Markets. Ventura County Star
- ➤ SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base today at 7:17 a.m. PT to deploy 25 Starlink satellites while Ventura viewers can watch the liftoff from Ventura Pier & Emma Wood State Beach. Ventura County Star

- ➤ The County of Ventura (using a $750,000 grant) has identified six parcels for potential affordable housing in Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Paula, and Ojai. Community meetings have been held, and four sites will move to feasibility studies in June. Ventura County Star

- ➤ Cindy Flores, a Ventura resident, suffered a botched surgery that led to chronic pain and an unplanned hysterectomy — she later underwent corrective surgery at Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara and will share her journey in the docu-series Balance dropping tomorrow. KEYT

- ➤ A MetLife study released Jan. 28 showed that the Maltipoo is California’s most searched dog breed and the Burmese is the leading cat breed, as locals looked for low-shedding, designer pets using Google data. The research covers cities from Bay Area to Southern California. Ventura County Star
