  • On Jan. 14, parents spoke at the Conejo Valley Unified School District public meeting to express concerns about AI and excessive screen time in classrooms. The board later voted 5–0 to add two trustees to the tech committee and will develop new policies for AI use in education.  Thousand Oaks Acorn

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chief deputy district attorney Brent Nibecker explained the support services available at the Ventura County Family Justice Center, where families can receive legal guidance and assistance in community outreach.  Ventura County Star

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, Ventura girls basketball won 59 to Notre Dame as Kai Staniland (27 points) and Brinley Anderson (24 points) led the Cougars to a 25 to 4 record. In girls soccer, Ventura lost 2 to 1 to Costa Mesa in a close match.  KEYT
