  • Oxnard Union High School District faces financial challenges after an audit raised doubts about meeting obligations due to deficit spending (cost overruns), falling enrollment and low cash flow. The board will submit a letter of disagreement, noting that cost cuts and hiring freezes are expected to restore stability.  Ventura County Star

  • Construction was underway at the Harvest at Limoneira development in Santa Paula on Feb. 13—workers poured the foundation near Harvest Loop and N. Santa Paula Street for a planned 2,050 units including 1,750 single-family homes and 300 rentals.  Ventura County Star
