- ➤ A Ventura County Medical Examiner’s report found 216 overdose deaths in 2025, an 8% rise from 2024 yet 25% below the 2021 peak; most fatalities occurred in Oxnard and Ventura with 71% of victims being men and methamphetamine deaths rising nearly 17% (polysubstance involvement was common).
