CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Matthew Rey Scott was sentenced to 19 years and eight months after his March conviction for first-degree burglary and delaying a peace officer—he broke into two Simi Valley homes where residents saw him enter—and he was caught while on parole, with officials saying the sentence will deter future crimes. - ➤ Chantelle Lavergne Woods pleaded guilty to misusing medical professionals’ identities to create fraudulent immigration documents and to using a deceased doctor’s credentials to order controlled substances—her sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 31. KEYT
