ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A gray whale washed up dead on Silver Strand Beach and was towed offshore Monday afternoon for natural decomposition. Officials from Channel Islands Harbor Patrol and CICRU conducted a brief exam (finding no injuries) as migrating whales continue to pass along the coast. Ventura County Star
- ➤ Ocean temperatures off our coast are reported to be 4-8° above normal, which is stressing seabirds and marine mammals that struggle for food.
