- ➤ A Camarillo father of four died on May 10 during a half marathon on a Thousand Oaks trail when temperatures soared into the 90s—rescue crews reported a mass casualty event as three other runners were taken to local hospitals. Ventura County Star

- ➤ On May 4th at 9:30 a.m., a local father was detained by ICE at a Sinclar gas station at the Ventura Rd. and Wooley Blvd intersection in Oxnard—leaving his two children behind in the truck until a witness helped move the vehicle and call their sister. KEYT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Two Ventura County school districts warned parents that a TikTok challenge is encouraging students to deliberately damage school-issued Chromebooks, which could lead to fires and result in suspensions or even arrests—families may face financial charges for such damage.
