➤ Michael Gordon Butler, a 40-year-old from Simi Valley, was sentenced to four years in state prison for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated that caused a fatal 2022 Christmas crash — the verdict came from the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. KEYT
➤ Oxnard police arrested a 22-year-old man for carrying a handgun within 1000 feet of a school during a fight after a traffic stop for an unlicensed driver+ his passenger was released with no charges. KEYT
➤ Oxnard police arrested a 50-year-old man on Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop on F and Fourth St after a search warrant on North H. St found five pounds of methamphetamine plus 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, gun parts, ammunition, cash and an unserialized semi-automatic AR, and records show he was arrested on May 17 for similar charges.
