ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Three people were rescued on May 25 after their 40-foot fishing boat ran aground near Ventura Harbor as crews from the Harbor Patrol, state lifeguards and fire units responded after 12:30 p.m.—none needed hospital treatment. Ventura County Star

- ➤ The 2nd annual Anime Wonder convention filled the Ventura county fairgrounds this weekend as fans played video games, bought manga, attended panels, and joined in cosplay activities. Producer Xavier Sanchez said the event brought local anime and cosplay fans together — organizers plan to expand it next year. KEYT
