- ➤ SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink satellites from Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base between June 16 and June 18 — the launch will be streamed five minutes before liftoff and people in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties may hear brief sonic booms. The mission will add more satellites to SpaceX’s network and is part of its regular launch schedule. Ventura County Star

- ➤ On May 25th, a team of thieves broke into 5 Star Jewelry by cutting through a neighboring candy shop's wall in Simi Valley and stole $3.5 million in cash and goods — four Chilean nationals were arrested on June 10 and charged with multiple felonies, with about $600,000 recovered so far.
