➤ A 38-acre vegetation fire broke out Monday at 6:30 p.m. south of Piru and the Santa Clara River, prompting an evacuation warning for the area south of East Guiberson Road between Smith Canyon Road and Eureka Canyon Road—140 firefighters responded as crews made steady progress toward containing the blaze. ➤ A U.S. citizen, Juan Ramirez Diaz, was detained in Oxnard after filming ICE agents arrest his father near Pacifica Avenue, was released from a Los Angeles detention center before 3 p.m. Monday, and his wife said he was tased during the encounter & Oxnard Police Chief Jason Benitez stressed local officers did not coordinate with ICE.
