CRIME NEWS

➤ A Camarillo liquor store was burglarized on June 21 when suspects used a sledgehammer and power saw to break in and steal $1,000 and lottery scratcher tickets, a Fillmore man was arrested on June 18 for alleged ties to April stabbings and witness intimidation, and two Ventura County residents were arrested on the same day for alleged illegal firearms sales including a ghost gun — all suspects are scheduled to appear in court on July 2. ➤ On June 22, Oxnard police responded to a call at about 1:30 p.m. for shots fired at Colonia Park and found a man with a non-life-threatening right hip wound who was taken to a local hospital—authorities are still investigating the case. Ventura County Star
