- ➤ On March 30, two Ventura County Sheriff's deputies, Dylan Davis and Anthony Malagon, were charged with felony assault for allegedly attacking a security guard during an off‑duty altercation at a Camarillo cantina, with Davis also facing spousal abuse and misdemeanor battery charges and both set to return to court on Aug. 7. - ➤ Metrolink installed a new $600,000 wireless crossing system—funded by the Federal Railroad Administration—to reduce traffic delays near Moorpark train station by activating crossing gates only when a train is about to pass. Moorpark and county officials, who backed the project since 2018, said they may extend it to other train services soon. Ventura County Star
