Pacific Corinthian Youth Foundation offers practical sailing camps with openings at Channel Islands Harbor during the summer weeks.
The Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club will hold the McNish Classic Yacht race next Saturday to give young sailors valuable real-world experience.
Volunteers are preparing exhibits for the Ventura County Fair, which runs from July 29 to Aug.
9 and will feature photography, fine arts, and home arts plus a concert series, rodeo, rides, and games for families to enjoy (activities for all ages).

Tony's Pizzaria Surfer's Point celebrated its 67th anniversary Friday near the beach and Ventura County Fairgrounds, hosting live music from Psychedelic Summer and a hippie costume contest where winners Robin Beccue and Carl Morehouse earned gift cards (a nod to the restaurant's enduring legacy).
