- ➤ A murder trial is underway in Santa Barbara Superior Court for Jiram Tenoria-Ramon, who is accused of killing Camarillo resident Robert Gutierrez during his December 2022 anniversary walk when a 9 millimeter unregistered handgun was fired in a gang-related incident+multiple arrests have been made, including three Ventura County juveniles. - ➤ Former NASA astronaut José Hernández spoke to hundreds of Oxnard students on Wednesday at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center as part of the district’s summer enrichment program—he shared how his journey from the child of Mexican immigrant farm workers led him to space.
