- ➤ Gabriel Torres of Port Hueneme was convicted on Thursday for attempted murder in connection with a December 2022 shooting in Oxnard—he is scheduled to be sentenced on October 8 in courtroom 45 and could face up to 34 years to life in prison. KEYT
- ➤ A 79-year-old Camarillo man was shot by a Ventura County Sheriff's deputy on July 31 at about 12:30 p.m. after he stepped outside holding a firearm in a threatening manner following his call that he had killed someone and had a gun + he is now receiving treatment while investigators review the incident.
