  • The Ventura County Fair embraced a cowboy theme as its rodeo sold out and hundreds of visitors enjoyed rides, fast cars, and fast horses—hat maker Rick De Leon said his business will grow by 20% compared to last year. Over the weekend, the fair raked in over half a million dollars and left locals from Sylmar, Oxnard, and Simi Valley excited for its unique attractions.  KEYT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Homeowners at Hollywood Beach have posted signs to oppose an Army Corps project that will restore 19 acres of dune habitat and install permanent fencing (to protect endangered birds) as they worry herbicides and man-made dunes will block beach access.  KEYT
