- ➤ Ventura Police arrested a 25-year-old man after an investigation linked him to an Aug 11 sexual assault near Thille Park—he was booked for aggravated kidnapping and rape and was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon at the time. KEYT

CULTURE NEWS

- ➤ The world’s largest corn hole festival is drawing hundreds to Ventura for three days of competitions and events—axe throwing, mixed martial arts, and a Nitro Circus motocross demonstration set for today. - ➤ Ventura County schools welcome every student and family as the 2025—26 school year begins—officials ask parents to name a trusted caregiver due to concerns over immigration enforcement during school hours.
