🚨 Crime
Francisco Garcia from Oxnard was sentenced to 20 years to life in state prison after a Ventura County jury convicted him of second-degree murder for a 2018 DUI crash that killed Elicia Lopez Hernandez and of felony fleeing after a July 9 accident—he had a blood alcohol level of 0.24 percent during the incidents.
Ventura couple Albino Manuel Mendoza and Maria Antonia Hernandez were charged with real estate crimes including mortgage fraud and money laundering—allegedly using false statements and fraudulent loans to transfer property, and they remain in custody with bail set at $100,000 while awaiting a bail review hearing on Aug. 29.
