ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 5 after 6:30 p.m., an 84-year-old Oxnard resident in a motorized wheelchair was killed near Fifth and D streets when a Kia SUV struck her as she crossed the sidewalk—the 55-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators who said speed or impairment were not factors. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ 39-year-old Rotherie Durrell Foster is set to be arraigned on October 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in Ventura County Superior Court on 35 felony counts—charges that include the alleged murders of Jose Valasquez and Bill Levy, a Fillmore robbery, and financial fraud—and he remains in custody with no bail. - ➤ Oxnard Police reported one person was killed and two others injured in a shooting at Del Sol Park on Sept. 5 in the 1500 block of Camino Del Sol — investigators said they believe it was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat. Ventura County Star
