  • On September 14, hundreds gathered at Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park to mourn and celebrate the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. Pastor Rob McCoy — Kirk’s personal pastor — said the service had no protesters and honored a leader who united his faithful followers — a tribute to community strength.  Ventura County Star
