Community members, elected officials and Jewish leaders gathered at Temple Beth Torah in Ventura on Sept.
18 to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community.
🎭 Culture
Surfer Dave Rastovich premiered the documentary film (Sensing Home) at Patagonia’s back patio on Friday night in Ventura, sharing his story of falling ill from runoff while highlighting river health concerns.
Proceeds benefited the Surfrider Foundation to protect the local coast.
The 7th annual Chowderfest in Oxnard raised funds for the Channel Islands Maritime Museum with live music, tastings, and a sea lion imitation contest.
About 600 people sampled chowder from over a dozen restaurants while a yacht club served Manhattan Clam Chowder and promoted youth sailing.
