- ➤ Channel Islands High School in Oxnard broke ground on a new pool funded by voter-approved measures and a bond, and the aquatic center is scheduled to open in 2027—offering competitive training and free community swim lessons. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials warned that two pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s may be contaminated with listeria and should not be eaten. The recalled items, Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs + Marina Sauce and Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettucine Alfredo, have best if used dates from Sept. 20 to Oct. 1 and may be in people’s refrigerators or freezers.
