- ➤ Fire crews fought a two-acre brush fire southeast of Los Robles Hills Estates on Tuesday using about 40 engines and 109 firefighters—three helicopters dropped water on the fire, which stayed in open space and did not threaten any structures. KEYT
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ SpaceX will launch its Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base today at 7 a.m. PT to deploy 28 Starlink satellites; residents in Ventura and nearby counties may hear sonic booms—weather permitting—and watch the rocket ascend from local viewing sites. Ventura County Star
- ➤ Haas Automation is building a 2.4 million square-foot factory near Las Vegas that will open in early 2027 while its Oxnard headquarters continues with about 1,000 employees. The company will shift a few hundred jobs to Nevada and keeps a strong local presence — a move that supports growth amid ongoing tariff challenges. Ventura County Star
