- ➤ Spectacular Services, a Ventura group that helps adults with autism learn budgeting and cooking, has partnered with Project BIG to sponsor a food drive with grocery gift cards to help those affected by the Cal Fresh pause. The program has already helped 9 people (local businesses are asked to donate) to ease the stress from benefit delays. KEYT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ventura Fire Chief David Endaya, who has led the department since 2014, will retire in December—city officials said they will begin selecting his replacement in the coming weeks. He has steered the department during major challenges and growth periods over his long career. Ventura County Star
