GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Assemblymember Dawn Addis sent a letter urging the CPUC to hold Pacific Gas & Electric — and Southern California Edison accountable for missing solar and storage interconnection deadlines that forced customers to shoulder extra costs. Data collected over nearly five years showed that utilities missed mandated deadlines 73 percent of the time, risking federal tax credits for renewable installations that must start by mid-2026.  KEYT
  • Residents and businesses in the Pierpont area can use water again for drinking, cleaning, and cooking since tests confirmed Tuesday’s gasoline detection was a false positive—repair work to reopen Monmouth Drive is still ongoing.  KEYT
  • Ventura lifted the order that restricted tap water use for about 900 customers in the Pierpont area as follow-up testing confirmed there is no trace of gasoline—officials said the water is now safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing.  Ventura County Star
